The International Journal of Maternal and Child Health and AIDS (IJMA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research, policy, and practice related to maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health and the impact of HIV/AIDS on these populations across diverse global contexts.

The journal publishes interdisciplinary research that addresses biological, behavioral, social, environmental, and health systems factors influencing maternal and child health outcomes. Particular emphasis is placed on the social determinants of health disparities, vulnerable populations, and conditions with disproportionate impact on MCH populations in advanced, low- and middle-income settings.

IJMA is organized into two primary sections:

  • General Maternal and Child Health (MCH)
  • HIV/AIDS in Maternal and Child Health (HIV/AIDS in MCH)

All HIV/AIDS-related submissions are considered within the context of maternal, child, or adolescent health and are not positioned as general immunology or virology studies.
